Krzysztof Warlikowski – director, founder and artistic director of Nowy Teatr in Warsaw. Belongs to the restorers of the language of the theater, it is one of the most important creators of European theater. Over ten Shakespeare productions created a new canon of Stradford’s works. He also intensely explores the contemporary possibilities of ancient tragedy. His reading of “Cleansed” Sarah Kane has revolted thinking about the boundaries of the theater. “(A) pollonia” became an emblamatic spectacle for the settlement trend with Polish-Jewish war and post-war history, called the Polish theater of extermination. In his performances, Warlikowski constantly renews the covenant with the viewer, making the audience part of a common process of reaching senses and meanings. His performances are a kind of theatrical debate, the result of which is never a foregone conclusion. For several years, he has been working extensively in the opera, transferring his theatrical discoveries to the ground and acting for theatrical re-inheritance.
